I have been involved in the clinical study of pain and phantom sensation since 2008. I have established a clinical protocol for distinguishing the responsible DRG in order to administer the lidocaine solution for phantom pain relief. This protocol assesses the tissue changes in all 5 lumbar foramina to determine the specific level at which to inject.
